Commis Chef (pastry)
Job Description
We are looking for Commis Chef (Pastry) who will be responsible to assist the Pastry Chef in producing a consistent, high-quality product and ensure a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service consistent with Bacha Coffee standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare pastry items in a timely manner according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
• Ensure freshness and suitability of products used by the section and that they are stored properly.
• Make daily production lists for his/her section in absence of the Demi Chef de Partie.
• Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces, workstation and storage containers.
• Maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas, including oven, mixers, refrigerators and freezers.
• Observe proper food hygiene and safety of the kitchen. Ensure that health, hygiene, and safety regulations are complied with and applied in the department in compliance with HACCP standards and procedures.
• Ensure expiry policy is being followed strictly.
• Perform duties common to all Commis and other duties as maybe assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• At least 2 years of experience as Commis in pastry section.
• Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work with speed and efficiency throughout maintaining a positive attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED4,000.00 per month
