Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our Hot Kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of hot dishes while ensuring high standards of quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation and cooking of hot menu items according to recipes and specifications.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and marinating as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the Chef de Partie and kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.
• Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking to ensure consistency.
• Follow instructions and learn new cooking techniques from senior chefs.
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
• Contribute to menu planning by providing input on daily specials.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably as a Commis Chef.
• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
