Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation and cooking of various French dishes, including sauces, soups, meats, seafood, vegetables, and desserts.
• Maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.
• Follow recipes and techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
• Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients used.
• Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes.
• Assist with inventory and stock management.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Commis Chef or Apprentice Chef, with specific experience in French cuisine preferred.
• Knowledge of French cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Attention to detail and a passion for food.
• Certification from a culinary school or apprenticeship program is a plus.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
