Hanar Restaurant , a premier destination for Anatolian cuisine, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis 2 - Grill to join our culinary team. In this specialized role, you will focus on grilling techniques and contribute to the preparation of our signature grilled dishes that keep our guests coming back for more.
### Responsibilities:
• Grill Preparation: Assist in the preparation of meats, seafood, and vegetables for grilling. Marinate and season ingredients according to Hanar's recipes and flavor profiles.
• Cooking on the Grill: Work under the direction of the Sous Chef and Junior Sous Chef to cook dishes to perfection, ensuring optimal flavor and presentation while adhering to cooking times and temperatures.
• Kitchen Support: Provide support to other kitchen team members in their prep work as needed, fostering teamwork and efficiency during service.
• Grill Maintenance: Help maintain and clean the grill area, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition and follows safety protocols.
• Ingredient Management: Monitor stock levels of ingredients used in grilling and communicate needs to the senior chefs to avoid shortages.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Uphold all health and safety regulations in the kitchen, particularly regarding the handling of raw meats and fire safety.
Requirements
• Previous experience in a kitchen setting, preferably with a focus on grilling.
• Basic understanding of grilling techniques and Japanese cuisine is highly desirable.
• Strong passion for cooking and eagerness to learn from experienced chefs.
• Attention to detail, especially in food presentation and adherence to recipes.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
