Properly cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene.
Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
Assisting the Cook with the preparation of meal ingredients, which includes washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat.
Assist the head chef with the Grills
Organizing and correctly storing food supplies.
Promptly transferring meal ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen as per the Cook's instructions.
Assisting with the unloading of delivered food supplies.
Stirring and heating sauces as well as preparing hot beverages.
Maintain a safe working environment
Regularly check kitchen equipment e.g. mixers, fryer, utensils, work surfaces are in accordance with specified procedures to ensure all equipment is hygienic and in safe working order and complies with relevant regulations
Cleaning the kitchen, surrounding areas and equipment to ensure the kitchen cleanliness is maintained at a high level
Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors as well as wiping down kitchen walls.
To attend and participate in staff meetings and attend all mandatory training when required
To attend any other training when a need has been identified
