JOB PURPOSE:
The Commis III plays a crucial role in the kitchen's day-to-day operations, providing invaluable support to the culinary team in various food preparation and cooking tasks. As a Commis III, your primary responsibility is to ensure the daily mis-en-place is meticulously executed.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (Task & Duties):
Preparing daily mis-en-place and food production in various kitchen sections.
Assisting the Demi Chef de Partie or Commis I in daily kitchen operations.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Follow portion control and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and utensils.
Assist in the receiving, storage, and rotation of food supplies.
Perform cleaning tasks as required to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
Follow instructions and guidance from superiors.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, health, safety, and sanitation regulations, and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the restaurant.
Adhere to company rules, guidelines, and processes at all times.
Be flexible and adaptable, taking on any additional duties assigned by the management team to support the company's success.
Qualification & Experience :
Culinary education or relevant certification is a plus.
Prior experience as a Commis III or similar role is beneficial.
Knowledge & Skills :
Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and sanitation standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
Attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Flexibility to work in different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
