Job Description

• Food Preparation:
• Assist in the preparation of hot food items, including meats, seafood, vegetables, and sauces.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes as instructed by senior kitchen staff.
• Cooking and Assembly:
• Cook and prepare ingredients according to recipes and specifications.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, stoves, ovens, and fryers.
• Quality Control:
• Maintain high standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation.
• Ensure all food items meet the restaurant's standards before being served.
• Stock Management:
• Assist in stock rotation and inventory management.
• Notify senior kitchen staff of any shortages or discrepancies in supplies.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other chefs, commis, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation and timely service.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
• Cleanliness and Safety:
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including equipment and utensils.
• Learning and Development:
• Continuously learn and improve culinary skills and techniques.
• Take initiative in mastering new recipes and methods under supervision.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
• Culinary education or training is beneficial but not always required.

Working Conditions:

• Shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is common.
• Physical demands may include standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in hot environments.

Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
