Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation

: Assist in the preparation and cooking of Arabic, Indian food, and international dishes under the supervision of the Chef de Partie. Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines to maintain consistency in quality and taste.

Hygiene & Safety

: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards (HACCP). Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of workstations, kitchen tools, and equipment.

Operations

: Ensure readiness of mise en place for service. Support the team in maintaining smooth kitchen operations during peak hours. Assist in receiving and storing inventory, ensuring proper stock rotation.

Team Collaboration

: Work closely with the kitchen team to meet deadlines and fulfill guest requests. Provide constructive input and support during menu development and tastings.

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience as a Commis Chef, preferably in a 5-star hotel or high-end restaurant. Basic knowledge of Arabic, Indian, and international cuisines is a must. Certification in Culinary Arts or a related field is an advantage. Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards. Strong organizational and time-management skills. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
