**Commercial Manager (Cost Plus)**

**Qatar, Doha**

**What You'll Be Doing:**

+ Utilize your expertise to manage cost-plus contracts, ensuring all financial aspects are accurately tracked and reported.

+ Assist in defining allowable and non-allowable costs, ensuring clarity and compliance with contract terms.

+ Verify the inclusions of cost reporting and establish a robust audit mechanism to ensure accuracy and transparency.

+ Conduct regular audits of the contractor's financial records to ensure compliance and accuracy.

+ Collaborate with the contractor and the client to prepare a detailed baseline budget, setting clear financial expectations.

+ Provide cost reports on a bimonthly basis or as required by the Engineer, ensuring timely and accurate financial updates.

+ Benchmark costs (labor, materials, overhead) against market standards to ensure competitive pricing.

+ Advise on subcontractor and supplier selection criteria to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

+ Develop guidelines for the competitive bidding process, including requirements for a minimum of three quotes and single-source procurement criteria.

+ Track project expenditures periodically to monitor financial performance.

+ Flag any cost overruns and inefficient expenditures not related to the construction scope, ensuring financial discipline.

+ Verify contractor payment applications to ensure they are accurate and justified.

+ Ensure performance-based payments are calculated correctly, reflecting the contractor's achievements.

+ Maintain logs for approved and rejected costs, providing a clear record of financial decisions.

+ Evaluate all change order requests to determine their validity and impact on

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Degree in Quantity Surveying from an accredited internationally recognized university

+ Minimum of 15 postgraduate years of experience and a minimum of 10 years of similar work experience on large infrastructure projects

+ Qualified or in the process of accreditation by a recognized international body such as Chartered Status Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS) and Chartered Status Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)

+ Must have strong command and previous experience in contracts administration cost of plus contracts in a large portfolio (200Billion Qatari Riyal or equivalent)

+ Must have managerial skills and a strong command to direct, manage, and supervise the audit team to check/audit the contractor's commercial records and financial system.

+ Qualified professional who can manage and coordinate specialized activity, discipline or team of moderate size and complexity

+ Prior experience managing commercial delivery of large scale infrastructure projects within Qatar

+ Excellent communication skills in English
