Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Commercial Manager to join our team!


In this role you will get to apply your skills to lead the contracts and commercial team including related subconsultants on a major long term infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi and play an essential role in its successful delivery.


What You'll Be Doing:

• Take care of the financial and contractual aspects of the project.
• Participate, record and prepare the minutes of the progress meetings.
• Provide support on all financial and contractual matters throughout the course of the work in the project.
• Finalize the Contractor's monthly payment certificates.
• Make sure that all cost and quantity records are streamlined and kept in order.
• Advise the Project Director and the supervision team on measurement procedures and calculation of interim and final quantities.
• Evaluate the unit rates for new work items.
• Establish and monitor the process for record keeping as well details of the same.
• Lead in the preparation of variation orders.
• Lead in the evaluation of claims.
• Interact with client and address all inquiries related to commercial and contract related issues
• Ensure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements.
• Advise on contractor's resource allocation.
• Prepare financial statements for monthly report.
• Audit payments to Contractors.
• Ensure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations.
• Check and record measurements of completed work.
• Monitor contracts final cost estimates.
• Maintain expenditure records.
• Coordinate and monitor activities of the team.
• Prepare Final Account with all supporting documentation.
• Management of commercial team providing technical guidance, assignment of tasks, professional development, performance evaluations, counselling, and taking corrective action where required.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Minimum 12+ years of commercial and contract administration experience ideally in large scale infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or related field.
• Proven experience in analysing complex contract variations and claims is mandatory.
• Comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices typical to the engineering and construction industry
• Experience with FIDIC form of contracts both construction and design & build delivery.
• Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills.

• Qualified and chartered by a recognized international body such as Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Institute of Arbitrators
• Ability to deal with change effectively.
• Ability to lead as well as a good team player and communicator.
• Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines.
• UAE experience preferred
