Wexe2x80x99ve got what youxe2x80x99re looking for. :Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Commercial Director to join our team for a major Metro/ Rail Project in the United Arab Emirates.In this role, you will manage all commercial activities for the project, working with the client team and the project team to assure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with all client requirements.
You will provide commercial leadership, management, and guidance to assigned personnel and ensure proficiency and timeliness of commercial and contract administration, including reviewing contracts and identifying potential conflicts, together with compliance with commercial processes and procedures.What You'll Be Doing:Lead the project start-up, implementation of procurement, commercial and contractual procedures, and protocols.Assist in supporting the client project executives, project leaders, and project directors in monitoring and controlling the performance of contracted services to ensure services are effective, meet statutory requirements, and deliver the desired outcomes.Monitor compliance with processes and identify areas where improvements can be made.Assist in negotiations to facilitate the placing of major contracts.Negotiate and clarify contractual requirements in meetings with consultants and contractors.Provide direction and expertise in commercial activities for strategic requirements.Provide direction and expertise in procurement activities for strategic requirements.Review tender submissions and evaluate them for recommendation to the client.Responsible with others for the overall cost of the project(s) (budget and forecasts).Manage resources and performance within allocated budgets.Manage a team of both pre-contract commercial staff, with other managers, commercial and procurement resources to ensure project requirements are fulfilled.Chair commercial meetings and attend design meetings, progress meetings, workshops, etc. as required.Manage all commercial and procurement duties, including payments, change management, variations, and issuance of commercial and procurement reports.Advise the Project Director and client on all procurement, commercial, and contractual issues with the various contracts.What Required Skills You'll Bring:Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.20+ years of relevant leadership experience.Significant experience in metro/rail projectsExperience in large-scale projects in transportation (preferred) and infrastructure.RICS, MRICS, or equivalent.Comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of contracts.Ability to perform in a senior management capacity.GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) experience preferredWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:Leadership and management of large teams.Effective oral and written skills for client presentations, technical reporting, and internal/external correspondence.Ability to effectively present information to key stakeholders as required by the client.Understanding of the construction management at risk alternative delivery process and the functions inherent to construction management of large-scale projects.Understanding of budget development and cost accounting.Ability to manage and encourage a team of construction management professionals.Ability to interface with all levels of the project team, client, and others.Parsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employeexe2x80x99s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
