As a Commercial Manager in civil construction, you will be responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects of construction projects, ensuring financial viability and compliance with contractual obligations. Your expertise in contracts agreements, job variations, commercial invoicing, cost reporting, and leadership skills will be essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive cost reports, tracking project expenditures, forecasting costs, and analyzing variances against budgeted amounts.
• Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of junior contract administrators and quantity surveyors, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure effective performance and professional development.
• Responsible for overseeing business growth efforts on behalf of a company.
• Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities and client leads.
• Coordinating with company leadership to conduct risk assessments and maintaining beneficial relationships with clients, suppliers and other business partners.
• Analyze data and create reports to identify areas of business growth.
• Bid on new project and negotiate contract terms.
• Call existing clients to renew their contracts and tell them about the new services.
• Ensure that the company maintains a competitive edge against competitors by identifying unique advertising opportunities and finding ways to enhance the quality of the services.
• Oversee projects to develop new or better-quality products/services that do well on the market

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in commercial management roles within the civil construction industry, with a strong background in contracts agreements, job variations, and commercial invoicing.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Meeting with potential investors to present company offerings and negotiate business deals.
