WHAT'S THE ROLE?


A Codes and Approvals Specialist at Hilti Emirates focuses on driving compliance with, and advancement of, codes and regulations specifically related to fire stop anchors within the UAE. This role involves engaging with local clients, consultants, and key stakeholders, as well as actively participating in industry committees to shape the regulatory landscape within the UAE. The specialist will play a critical role in identifying opportunities and challenges related to new or evolving code requirements specific to fire safety anchors, working diligently to align Hilti's products with these local standards. Additionally, the role involves reinforcing and advancing national codes as fire safety regulations in the UAE approach maturity. Depending on strategic directions, further involvement in other areas such as BU Installation may be expected.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?


In this role, the successful candidate will define, communicate, and implement the local Code & Regulation Strategy and Roadmap while maintaining an overview of relevant regional Codes and Regulations related to the product and application portfolio. The individual will translate regulatory status and anticipated changes into business opportunities, effectively communicate formal requirements to stakeholders, and build resilient relationships with code officials and key influencers in the industry. Additionally, the role involves managing research projects to advance the state of the art, participating as a voting member or chair in Code Committees, identifying synergies with global Codes, and supporting local Market organizations with training, product testing, and industry events.

A Codes and Approvals Specialist at Hilti ensures product compliance with building codes and standards by obtaining approvals, providing technical support, developing documentation, and influencing code committees.

WHAT YOU NEED IS:

Valid UAE Visa

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical). A Master's or MBA is a plus. Minimum 5 years' experience working in a relevant field, dealing with codes & specifications. Fluency in English (verbal and written); Arabic is a plus. Project Management experience, able to manage projects related to code development, compliance, and enforcement. Proven track record in stakeholder engagement. Able to build and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, code officials, and industry influencers. The ability and willingness to travel, including across GCC countries. Experience working with the Ministry of Civil Defense is preferred.
