Job SummaryAs a Coastal Engineer, you will be working on a number of projects throughout the Middle East, which Jacobs are currently supporting. You will support the design and coordination of coastal and maritime infrastructure - assisting with design reports, technical proposals, preparation of tender documents, preparation of design drawings, tender evaluations and monitoring progress of construction against the programme & takes steps to ensure the programme is achieved. Experience in one or more of the following is preferable:

• Coastal structures design (breakwaters, revetments, scour protection).
• Planning and execution of field measurements.
• Programming (VBA, Matlab).
• Numerical modelling of coastal processes (wave transformation and penetration, hydrodynamics and sediment transport).
• CFD modelling.
• Vessel navigation and mooring studies.
• Machine learning techniques.
• Good communication and writing skills.

Here's What You'll NeedAs a successful candidate you will be degree qualified from a recognized University in an appropriate field, as well as having 2-5 years of experience operating as a Coastal Engineer. Experience of working in the Middle East is advantageous as well as being a qualified member of a recognized institution or organization (to include but not necessarily be limited to IMarEST, APM, ICE, RICS, CIOB, AIA, RIBA).
