Position Summary

:
The Coach Builder will be responsible for assembling, constructing, and repairing coaches (buses, coaches, and other specialized vehicles) from start to finish. This involves working with a variety of materials, using specialized tools and machinery, and adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship, attention to detail, and experience in vehicle building.

Key Responsibilities

:

Assemble and install various components of coaches, including but not limited to seats, windows, doors, and electrical systems. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately build and modify vehicles. Cut, weld, and shape metal and composite materials to precise specifications. Install mechanical and electrical components, including wiring, lighting, and climate control systems. Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks to ensure vehicles meet industry standards and customer specifications. Repair and refurbish existing coaches, ensuring they meet safety regulations and quality standards. Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to provide feedback and assist with product improvement. Follow all safety procedures and adhere to relevant regulations during the building and modification process. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are well-maintained and safe to use. Assist with the maintenance and repair of workshop machinery and tools.

Qualifications

:

Proven experience as a Coach Builder or in a similar role within the automotive or transportation industry. Strong understanding of vehicle assembly processes, materials, and technical specifications. Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Experience with welding (MIG, TIG), fabrication, and general mechanical work. Excellent attention to detail and high standards for quality and safety. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Good physical fitness and manual dexterity for hands-on work. Valid driver's license (preferred but not required).

Desirable Skills

:

Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring in vehicles. Experience working in Amrour cars is an advantage. Experience with composite materials and fiberglass. Previous experience working with buses, coaches, or similar vehicles. Certification in welding or similar trade qualifications.
