7-10 Years experience in setting & operating Large Envelope HBM machines (Table
Type Horizontal Boring Mill with lndexing Table) including reading and editing
programs as required to perform operations.
Set up and prepare CNC HBM Table type machines for operation, including tooling
selection and fixture setup.\
Operate CNC HBM machines to produce high-quality components in accordance
with manufacturing specifications.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to ensure
accurate machining processes.
Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and
adherence to quality standards. Make adjustments to machine settings and offsets as
required to achieve optimal results.
A minimum of two (2) years relevant experience performing precision machining
functions on large machines is desired. Journeyman level machinist designation or
equivalent is preferred.
Must be open and available to working all shifts.
Must be proficient with CNC controls, including G and M coded commands.
Must be able to edit or modify programs as necessary. Must be able to write minor
programs.
Must have a working knowledge of feeds and speeds for all types of material.
Must be able to work to xc2xb1.001" tolerance and microfinish 16 when necessary.
Ability to demonstrate use of various measuring instruments, including dial bore
gages, indicator snap gages, verniers, and other specialty gaging equipment
Possess skills necessary to maintain accurate documentation and the ability to follow
complicated procedures and document accordingly.
Must pass all pre-employment processes, to include skills assessments and
mechanical comprehension testing, background check, and physical examination.
High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
