• To ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer software systems and network connections. To develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all network software and communication links within CME & CCNA.
• To ensure effective and efficient systems support to meet office requirements and according to the quality and service levels set by the line manager.
• Support Canon ME and CNA end users in applying Information Technology, answering questions, and solving IT related problems.
• To ensure maximum effectiveness of the IT function is achieved by ensuring the system is working correctly and all procedures are being followed.
• To analyze and resolve end user(s) software program and connectivity issues in a timely and accurate manner.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues and perform repairs or escalate problems to the appropriate IT staff when necessary.
• Install, configure, and update computer systems, software, and peripherals.
• Maintain and support user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of network and telecommunications systems.
• Train users on basic computer operations and software applications.
• Document technical problems, resolutions, and steps taken to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Follow standard operating procedures and security protocols to ensure data integrity and system stability.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues and provide excellent customer service.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
• Assist in the management of inventory and procurement of IT equipment and supplies.
• To contribute to the vision and strategy with ideas and initiatives that complement the corporate strategy.
• Keep aware of trends and developments within IT to maintain knowledge level.
• Be able to provide and deliver training to end users.
• Build up database analysis and administration.
• Accurately assess the operational IT requirements within the Canon ME office.
• Installation of new application systems within agreed time schedules and to budget.
• Ensure information systems security according to CME and CENV IT policies.
• Testing, diagnosing and fixing faults in all such software, sometimes in consultation with users.
• Monitor and analyse the results and operational use of these systems and procedures and take proper actions until the required performance levels are reached.
• Providing written documentation for users, perhaps in conjunction with a technical author.
• Evaluate results and take corrective actions and when necessary.
• Apply best practice and ensure procedures, techniques and tools in order to realize service levels according to agreed standards.
• Ensure regular reporting to IT management regarding office Information Technology systems and user support with regard to performance and innovation needs.

• Familiarity with VISIO and other MS Office applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong network infrastructure skills is required.
