Assist IT Manager to provide and support the data processing function of the Hotel, maintain hotel data processing network system, personal computer software, as well as training the staff on proper equipment handling
The primary function of this position is to provide First level support to repair or to determine problems in computer systems and related equipment.
Provides immediate solutions when possible, furnishes feedback to the users/customer, informs the IT Manager on reoccurring problems and issues that are affecting multiple users, enters resolutions into the tracking system.
Provides a friendly and personalised welcome for guests
To assist users and guests, advice, handling of incidents/requests for services etc.
To supervise, assist, advice and provide training and coaching of staff and internal customers and system users to ensure full understanding and commitment to business achievements.
To make sure Backup is done on daily basis and to do a restore test regularly
Computer room is kept clear and orderly
Maintain up to date cable diagram 9 Inventories on and bi-annual basis all computer equipment installed and provide written report
Obtain a thorough knowledge of the hotel\'s main systems, PMS, POS, FMC, telecommunication etc.
Effectively testing system loopholes and bringing it to the attention of the management
Ensure that confidential records and other confidential information is properly safeguarded and is not removed from the office
Trouble logs and utilization records are prepared
On-going training is continually provided and that all personnel are fully knowledgeable in utilizing the equipment and/or system
Reliable back-up of hotel data and maintained and properly secured
Contingency plans are review to ensure ongoing operations in the event of equipment and/or failure
Operational Manuals are developed and maintained on a current basis and used regularly by the operating staff
Ensure virus protection for servers and workstation at all times and examine the entire system for the presence of virus or similar irregularities
Ensure equipment is cleaned in accordance with maintenance schedule and keep logbook for the same
Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out at the prescribed intervals
To ensure that the standards required by Law and Hotel Policies are maintained at all times in the areas specified above
