Job Purpose

Cluster Director of Sales - Leisure Transient & Groups

is responsible to implement a successful solicitation strategy to targeted clients for leisure transient & groups in order to meet and/or exceed revenue goals. Direct all sales activities to meet revenue targets and ensure of implementing standards in all related tasks assigned to, in addition to achieving team work goals and increase employee's satisfaction index with clear development plan for each and every one in the team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Increase share of accounts from global and local DMC , TO and retail TO connections Introduce new leisure and individual accounts which support long stay business Target new corporate business from Pharma, Oil & Gas, Fashion, Sports and other industry segments. Develop business partnerships with top concierge membership companies to provide our hotels to high spend guest profiles. Recognize need periods & actively find possible solutions in coordination with the Marketing & Revenue leaders. Achieve the monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue goals. Set and regularly review goals for the sales leisure team Leadership, training, development, encouragement, and support of the sales team. Responsible for the training and incorporation of new team members (and trainees). Performance Control for the subordinate team members. Regular Competition Checks. Cross-sell other hotels within DAMAC Hotels and Resorts Implementation of regular departmental meetings to ensure inter-departmental communication. Monitor the Opera PMS/ S&C System and ensure the system is set up properly to guarantee internal efficiency, and customer satisfaction, hence maximizing revenue performances. Carry out site inspections for all potential clients Thoroughly input, supervise, and maintain the requests in the Opera S&C System according to the data input standards. Strong analytical skills so to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges Creation of activities to ensure ongoing maintenance of bookings. Generate proper proposals and contracts. Follow up on sent-out proposals within 24 hours (1 working day) to ensure the client has received the information and to clarify possible questions and issues. Handle the inquiries until conversion to definite bookings including negotiation, contracting, and site inspection before handing them over to the Groups & Event team. Ensure a proper handover of the converted business to the Event Manager / Group and event Coordinator with all relevant information forwarded. Introduction of the Groups & Events Manager to the client. Management of the top producing accounts within the segment ensuring that client visitations and entertainment target are met, focusing on high end suite business. Utilize the marketing plan in order to uncover new and potential business

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field. Excellent time management & organizational skills. Strong knowledge of MS Office and Opera. Strong client management skills. Highly networked individual with proven track record Strong total account management skills Excellent listening and follow-up skills.
