:

An accomplished Senior IT Infrastructure and Cloud Expert with a

specialized focus on VMware and Microsoft Azure platforms. This role is pivotal in driving the design, implementation, and optimization of

our IT infrastructure and cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will

bring extensive experience in VMware technologies and Azure cloud

services, coupled with a strong background in infrastructure

architecture, deployment, and management.

Responsibilities:

• System Administration: Manage and maintain our

organization's IT infrastructure, including physical and

virtual servers, operating systems (Windows, Linux),

server applications (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, DHCP,

Exchange), Database and storage.

• Lead the design and architecture of complex IT

infrastructure solutions, ensuring alignment with business

objectives, scalability, and resilience.

• Develop comprehensive architecture blueprints,

documentation, and standards for VMware and Azure

environments.

• Design hybrid cloud architectures that seamlessly

integrate on-premises VMware infrastructure with Azure

cloud services.

• VMware Infrastructure Management:

? Architect, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere

environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter

Server, and VMware NSX, VCD, VCDA,VROPS,

VRNI, VSAN etc.

? Implement advanced features such as high

availability (HA), fault tolerance (FT), and

distributed resource scheduler (DRS) to

optimize performance and reliability.

• Monitor and optimize VMware infrastructure

performance, capacity, and security parameters.

• Microsoft Azure Solutions:

Design and deploy Azure cloud solutions

tailored to organizational requirements,

leveraging services such as Azure Virtual

Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and

Azure SQL Database.

? Implement Azure networking solutions

including virtual networks, VPN gateways, and

Azure ExpressRoute for secure hybrid

connectivity.

? Utilize Azure management tools and services for

monitoring, automation, and governance of

cloud resources.

• Infrastructure Automation and Orchestration:

? Implement infrastructure automation using

tools like PowerShell, VMware PowerCLI, and

Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates to

streamline provisioning, configuration, and

deployment processes.

? Develop orchestration workflows to automate

repetitive tasks, such as virtual machine

provisioning, patch management, and backup

operations.

? Promote the adoption of DevOps practices and

infrastructure as code (IaC) principles to drive

operational efficiency and agility.

• Security and Compliance:

? Develop and implement robust security

architectures for both on-premises and cloud

environments, incorporating best practices for

identity management, encryption, and network

security.

? Conduct regular security assessments and audits

to identify vulnerabilities and assess compliance with regulatory requirements such as GDPR,

HIPAA, and SOC 2.

? Collaborate with internal security teams and

external auditors to address security findings,

remediate risks, and maintain a strong security

posture.

• Technical Leadership and Collaboration:

? Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted

advisor on IT infrastructure and cloud

technologies, providing guidance and

mentorship to internal teams and stakeholders.

? Collaborate with cross-functional teams

including network engineering, security, and

application development to deliver integrated

solutions that meet business requirements.

? Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry

trends, and best practices in IT infrastructure and

cloud computing, and advocate for their

adoption within the organization.

? Exemplify mentorship excellence by nurturing

and empowering junior team members,

proactively facilitating their professional

development journey and fervently

championing a culture of relentless knowledge

sharing within the organization.

? Conduct knowledge sharing sessions,

workshops, and training sessions to educate

team members on new technologies, tools, and

processes.

? Provide tier 3 support for infrastructure and

cloud-related issues, including troubleshooting

complex problems and resolving service

interruptions.

Collaborate with vendors and third-party service

providers to diagnose and resolve issues related

to hardware, software, and cloud services.

? Implement proactive monitoring and alerting

systems to detect and mitigate potential issues

before they impact system availability or

performance.

? Document troubleshooting procedures,

resolution steps, and incident reports to facilitate

knowledge sharing and continuous

improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information

Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud

engineering roles, with a focus on VMware and Microsoft

Azure platforms.

• Expertise in VMware technologies including vSphere,

vCenter Server, NSX, and vSAN, with VMware

certifications preferred (e.g., VCP, VCAP, VCIX).

• Proficiency in designing, deploying, and managing

Microsoft Azure cloud services, with Azure certifications

desirable (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure

Administrator Associate).

• Strong understanding of networking concepts,

virtualization technologies, and cloud computing

principles.

• Strong understanding of networking principles, including

TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall concepts.

• Proven track record of implementing security controls and

compliance frameworks in complex IT environments.

Experience with infrastructure automation and

orchestration tools such as PowerShell, VMware

PowerCLI, Azure CLI, and ARM templates.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the

ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and

stakeholders.

• Relevant certifications including but not limited to:

? VMware: VCP, VCAP, VCDX, VCA etc.

? Azure: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure

Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Developer

Associate, etc.
