About the job
The CIS team is looking for a Sr Consulting Business Development Manager to provide SAS Cloud overlay sales support and business development to a defined region. Serves as a first point of contact for the defined territory that creates momentum in driving SAS Cloud revenues and spotting opportunities for growing the SAS Cloud business. Engages in and supports the development and implementation of strategic business plans and marketing activities involving the SAS internal channel (regions/countrys) customers and/or business partner organizations.
Activities include, internal channel development and enablement, support the sales team in sales cycles including direct involvement in customer meetings, support marketing activities, and/or business partner relationships to achieve defined goals.
As a Consulting Business Development Manager, you will:
SAS Cloud first point of contact for the defined territory
Pro-actively work with Sales Management and Account Execs to ensure that SAS Cloud offers are best positioned with customers
Provide Account Execs with the SAS Cloud pricing and the scope of the hosting offer for customer opportunities
Assist Account Exec in customer meetings providing SAS Cloud expertise
Work with Commercial and Legal drafting SAS Cloud contractual paperwork
Provide SAS Cloud enablement into the defined territory
In conjunction with local resources, SAS Cloud management and program management:
Develop and maintain business plans and other related assets as required
Support enablement process of country/regional personnel - ensuring they understand the SAS Cloud value proposition.
Support the build of an appropriate partner network
Participate in client meetings as required
Develop lead generation plans

Required qualifications
5+ years experience of sales/overlay-sales/channel development- Software or Services or Hosting
Bachelors degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, or related field
Understanding of how to open markets
Excellent Excel, PPT, Word experience.
Experience of coordinating and updating CRM systems
Strong time management with ability to prioritize
Gain Solid understanding and then application of internal governance procedures.
Fluency in English - both written and verbal
Ability to travel internationally as required
An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
Preferred qualifications
Experience of hosting/on-demand/cloud/SaaS
Experience / understanding of technical architecture
Experience of working across multiple countries within territory
