Job Title: Clinical Instructor (UAE Nationals only) College/Office: College of MedicineThe following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so qualified.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides support to the professor to ensure a safe and stimulating educational environment. Assists the professor in planning and preparation for daily activities; aids instructional efforts of the Faculty. Assists the faculty in preparing lesson outlines, plans, and curricula in assigned areas. Plans, prepares, and develops various teaching aids for use in the clinic, including activity sheets, drawings, and similar handouts. Presents subject matter to students, under the guidance of a Faculty staff, utilizing a variety of methods including discussions and role-playing. Leads clinic activities. Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts. May lead, guide, and train staff/student employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work; May participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: MBBS- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery Completion of internship. Experience working as a tutor in a clinical skill training program in a teaching institution will be an advantage for those considered for a clinical skill laboratory. For others, working in teaching institutions with experience assisting in practical sessions for MBBS students will be an added advantage.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Ability to deal comfortably with medical and scientific terminology Ability to produce high-quality work under pressure Coordinate college-wide schedules and maintain accurate records of College activities
