POSITION TYPE: Full-time 2 years contractSUMMARY:Working independently, under the guidance of the Senior Manager, for Communications, Content and Marketing, this position will take an active role in supporting the day-to-day directives of their supervisor.The Manager, Website and Interactive is a key role responsible for overseeing the management and development of the museum's website and interactive experiences. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the website is visually appealing, user-friendly, and up-to-date.Interfacing with all levels of staff the manager will also lead the conceptualization and implementation of interactive exhibitions and digital experiences, contributing towards broader institutional goals of visibility of the Museum's exhibition programming, innovative scholarship, and public engagement.Content creation, user experience design, and analytics optimization are important aspects of this role. The ideal candidate should have a relevant degree, experience in website management, strong technical skills, familiarity with UX design principles, and a passion for art and the museum's mission.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide on-the-ground support for marketing planning and campaign implementation.
You will be responsible for overseeing the overall management and maintenance of the Museum's website. This includes ensuring that the website is up-to-date, visually appealing, and user-friendly. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including designers, developers, and content creators, to continuously improve the website's functionality and design.
You will lead the development and implementation of interactive exhibitions and digital experiences. This includes conceptualizing and designing interactive components that enhance the visitor experience both online and on-site. You will work closely with curators, artists, and technology teams to create engaging and innovative interactive installations.
You will collaborate with the content team to create and publish compelling digital content across various platforms. This may include articles, videos, podcasts. You will ensure that the content aligns with the museum's brand and engages a diverse audience.
User Experience (UX) Design: You will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience across all digital platforms. This includes conducting user research, gathering feedback, and implementing improvements to enhance the usability and accessibility of the museum's digital offerings.
Analytics and Optimization: You will monitor website analytics and user behavior to gain insights into visitor engagement and identify areas for improvement. You will use data- driven approaches to optimize the website and interactive experiences, making data- backed decisions to enhance the overall digital strategy.
SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience in managing websites, preferably in a cultural or arts-related organization. Strong knowledge of web development technologies, content management systems (CMS), and familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages.
Interactive Design: Proficiency in conceptualizing and designing interactive exhibitions and digital experiences. Ability to collaborate with curators, artists, and technology teams to create engaging and innovative interactive installations.
User Experience (UX) Design: Understanding of UX design principles and best practices, including conducting user research, usability testing, and implementing improvements to enhance the user experience across digital platforms.
Analytics and Optimization: Ability to analyze website analytics, user behavior, and engagement metrics to gain insights and identify areas for improvement. Experience in using data-driven approaches to optimize websites and interactive experiences
WORK DEMANDS and ENVIRONMENT:
This position is based in Abu Dhabi.
Ability to travel area as required to perform the above duties at any of the Museums\' owned or leased properties upon request.
Occasionally work may be conducted outdoors, with exposure to varied weather conditions.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on occasion.
Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree is required.
Masters Degree or equivalent preferred.
