Key Accountabilities:
• To coordinate with document controller / Work preparatory and Shop / Onboard supervision to ensure the documents in use are being the latest revisions.
• To identify and to assist the shop / onboard supervision to maintain the traceability records as per department procedure and as per approved project ITP.
• To assist fitter/welder supervision in defining the actual NDT requirements as per project ITP to avoid any later stage disputes.
• To assist fitter foreman in verifying the material heat no and grade / certification requirements prior proceeding with fit up and inspections.
• To assist foreman for getting the details captured and updated in ERP (Mariner or equivalent) spool wise and joint wise.
• Raising inspection requests to QC/ client and assisting for inspections.
• Assist supervision during project audits with details maintained in all stages.
• Assisting welder foreman in verifying the welder qualification and WPS records as per ITP and to ensure the correct usage of welding consumables / process.
• Coordination with NDT/QC team to get the reports generated timely and notifying supervision with the status
• Maintaining the records of any NDT failures and reporting to supervision for preparing any corrective / preventive measures.
• Assisting Foreman-Planning in updation of spool and joint details in ERP (Mariner or equivalent) by reviewing the drawing details properly. (Material grade, size, item wise details of individual components and joint configurations) for traceability records.
• Progress updation of spools and supports fabrication/installation progress in ERP (Mariner or equivalent) for progress tracking based on the reports submitted by shop / onboard supervision.
• Weld map updation against individual spools and joints (Proper verification of joint type / material/ size / WPS / welder details) prior updating.
• Verifying and clarifying the details against drawings prior updating in the trackers. In case of disputes, to take it up and clarify with concerned preparators and supervision.
Preparing daily/weekly/monthly reports from the weld map and spool/support trackers for supervision for tracking and also for dept. management to review the productivity.

Experience / Qualification & Skills:
• Piping Construction plus minimum 3 years shipyard experience or similar construction industry.
• Minimum 3 years planning experience includes division of work scope within modules/locations through all stages of construction activities.
• Competency to read piping drawings in line with material grades and other basic process details.
• Comprehensive knowledge in ship construction and relationships between trades.
• Computer literate utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and basic familiarity with Primavera.
• Ability to extract information from available drawings, AutoCad, spools tracker/traceability, weld map.
• Graduate / Diploma Mechanical Engineering/Piping Engineering.
• MS Word / Excel/Primavera/MS Project.
• 2 yrs minimum or above 2 years experience for similar role.
