Job Description

The Cleaning Supervisor oversees and coordinates the activities of the cleaning staff to ensure that all facilities are maintained in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition. This role involves managing daily cleaning operations, providing leadership and training to cleaning personnel, and ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Supervise Cleaning Staff: Lead and manage a team of cleaning staff, including assigning tasks, scheduling shifts, and monitoring performance. Provide training and development to ensure staff meet company standards. Ensure Quality Standards: Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards. Address any issues or deficiencies promptly and effectively. Maintain Supplies and Equipment: Oversee inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment. Ensure that all cleaning tools are well-maintained and used correctly. Order supplies as needed. Develop Cleaning Procedures: Establish and update cleaning protocols and procedures to enhance efficiency and maintain high cleanliness standards. Implement best practices and new cleaning technologies as appropriate. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all cleaning practices comply with health and safety regulations. Conduct safety training and enforce the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Customer Service: Address any concerns or complaints from building occupants or clients regarding cleanliness. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing prompt and effective responses to issues. Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on cleaning operations, staff performance, inventory levels, and any incidents or safety concerns. Emergency Response: Respond to and manage emergency cleaning situations, such as spills or accidents, ensuring minimal disruption and prompt resolution. Qualifications: Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory role within a cleaning or facilities management environment is preferred. Proven experience in cleaning and maintenance is essential. Skills: Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and products. Knowledge: Understanding of cleaning procedures, equipment, and safety protocols. Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to cleaning.
