Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Project Design and Planning:

Design and plan civil engineering aspects of maintenance projects, such as structural repairs, roadworks, drainage systems, and other infrastructure. Perform site assessments and provide technical recommendations for maintenance and repair projects.

Supervision of Maintenance Projects:

Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of ongoing maintenance projects. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and the maintenance team to ensure efficient execution.

Quality Control and Compliance:

Conduct regular inspections of construction and maintenance sites to ensure work complies with safety regulations, local codes, and company standards. Ensure high-quality standards in the maintenance and repair work done on all infrastructure.

Structural Integrity Assessments:

Evaluate the structural integrity of existing facilities and infrastructure, identifying any required repairs or reinforcements. Provide recommendations for the improvement and ongoing maintenance of buildings and facilities to enhance durability.

Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

Prepare accurate cost estimates for maintenance and repair projects, including materials, labor, and overhead. Monitor and control project costs to ensure work is completed within budget.

Collaboration and Communication:

Coordinate with other engineering teams, contractors, and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth project flow. Communicate project progress, challenges, and updates to management and clients.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of project activities, including drawings, reports, and compliance documentation. Prepare and submit progress reports, assessments, and maintenance schedules to senior management.

Health and Safety:

Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Provide safety training to on-site workers and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (required)

Experience:

4-5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in a maintenance or construction environment. Experience in project management and overseeing maintenance projects.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, structural design, and construction methods. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other design and drafting software. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
