Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Site Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a blend of technical engineering expertise and meticulous cost management abilities. The ideal candidate will oversee various construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budgetary constraints and aligned with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Engineering:

• Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project feasibility and requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to discuss project specifications and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements throughout the construction process.
• Monitor construction progress and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.

Quantity Surveying:

• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects based on detailed analysis of project plans and specifications.
• Evaluate tenders and contracts to ensure they are within budgetary limitations and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Track project expenses and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare progress reports and financial forecasts for management and clients.

Project Management:

• Manage project timelines and deadlines to ensure timely completion of construction projects.
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise during construction.
• Coordinate with various teams and departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Implement cost-saving measures and value engineering initiatives as appropriate.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Civil Site Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, or similar role in the construction industry.
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and equipment.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
