Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil QS Engineer with experience in prefabricated (prefab) construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, budget management, contract administration, and procurement for civil projects, specifically involving prefab structures.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, bills of quantities, and cost estimates for civil works, focusing on prefabricated structures.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and schedules to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to project requirements.
• Monitor and control project costs, identifying and managing cost variations to minimize budget overruns.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify quantities, monitor progress, and ensure accurate billing and cost reporting.
• Prepare detailed project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost reports, presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Provide input for value engineering and cost-saving measures without compromising quality and safety.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards applicable to prefab construction.
• Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including cost breakdowns and schedules.
• Track changes in project scope, assess their impact on costs, and submit variation claims as necessary.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as QS Engineer, with specific experience in prefab or modular construction projects.
• Strong understanding of prefabrication technologies, materials, and construction methods.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with contract management, procurement processes, and relevant legal requirements.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
