Job description-
We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to oversee and manage various construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with engineers, Consultants, Clients etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
• Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
• Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
• Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
• Supervise the work of laborers (Civil and MEP) etc. and give them guidance when needed
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
• Coordinating with clients to ensure the design meets their needs and specifications
• Scheduling and overseeing construction activities to ensure that deadlines are met
• Monitoring project budgets to ensure costs are within reasonable limits
• Reviewing plans for design flaws and making recommendations for improvement
• Monitoring the work of engineers to ensure that they are adhering to industry standards and best practices
• Providing technical support to sub-contractors during the construction phase of a project
• Developing project timelines, including phases of implementation, completion dates, and milestones along the way
• Assisting in the development of bids for projects that may be put out to bid by clients
• Ensuring that all applicable laws and regulations are followed during construction
• Serve as the primary point of contact with clients, project sponsors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and other stakeholders
• Develop detailed project plans to track progress and ensure timely completion of project milestones and deliverables
• Identify and procure all necessary resources (e.g., materials, equipment, personnel) to complete the project according to plan
• Manage and motivate project team members to achieve project goals and objectives within defined timelines and budget
• Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to senior management and other stakeholders on a regular basis
• Oversee quality control procedures to ensure that all deliverables meet or exceed expectations
• Coordinate with external parties (e.g., sub-contractors, regulatory agencies) as needed to facilitate project progress
• Negotiate and resolve conflicts that may arise during the course of the project
• Manage project close-out activities, including final acceptance of deliverables by the client
• Prepare and submit accurate invoices to clients in a timely manner and payment follow-ups.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement
• Meet contractual conditions of performance and establish KPI for all construction related activities
• Review the work progress on weekly basis and prepare monthly construction progress report
• Analyse, manage and mitigate risks
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques in compliance with project specifications
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 6+ years experience in project management
• Experience working on large-scale projects
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Proven experience as construction project manager and history of completing projects on time and with efficiency.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
• Good knowledge of MS Office, ERP etc.
• Familiarity with construction/ project management softwares
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• A team player with leadership abilities
• BSc/BA/BE/B-tech in Civil Engineering.
• PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
• Ability to read and interpret specification, other project documents and technical drawings
• Thorough knowledge of All Emirates, UAE, and federal codes and regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED 7,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
• Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
