We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Civil Project Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will assist in coordinating the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective project delivery while adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Coordination: Support the project manager in coordinating all phases of civil engineering projects, including pre-construction, construction, and post-construction activities.
• Contract Management: Assist in preparing and reviewing contracts with clients, subcontractors, and vendors. Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project schedules, budgets, and reports. Ensure that all project records are up-to-date and organized.
• Communication: Act as a liaison between project stakeholders (clients, contractors, vendors, engineers, and government agencies) to facilitate smooth communication and resolve issues as they arise.
• Scheduling & Budgeting: Help develop project timelines and monitor progress to ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget. Track expenses and assist with cost estimation.
• Site Visits & Inspections: Participate in regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety standards, and resolve any on-site issues.
• Regulatory Compliance: Assist in ensuring that projects comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning, environmental laws, and building codes.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks on projects and collaborate with the team to develop strategies for mitigating those risks.
Qualifications:
• Education:
• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (required).
• Additional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) are a plus.
• Experience:
• 2+ years of experience in civil project coordination, construction management, or a related field.
• Experience with contract management , project scheduling software , and cost control .
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles , construction methods , and building codes .
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project).
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Certifications (Optional but preferred):
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (or similar safety certification)
