Job Description
Position Overview:We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Mason to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of masonry tasks on solar sites, including laying bricks, blocks, and stones, and applying mortar and other adhesives to create structures such as walls, floors, and walkways. The Civil Mason will work closely with our team of engineers, architects, and other construction professionals to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and materials needed for each project
- Measure and mark surfaces to be covered and construct masonry structures according to specifications
- Prepare and lay bricks, blocks, or stones using various tools and techniques, such as cutting and shaping materials to fit corners and edges
- Apply mortar or other adhesives to secure materials and create a strong bond
- Repair and maintain existing masonry structures, including replacing damaged bricks or stones and repairing mortar joints
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety regulations and procedures
- Keep accurate records of materials used and work performed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Civil Mason in the construction industry or solar projects.
- Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
