Job Overview:

We are looking for a diligent and experienced Civil Inspector to join our team. As a Civil Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed according to contract specifications, design plans, and safety regulations. You will inspect construction work on-site, identify any issues, and ensure that all work complies with applicable standards and codes. This role requires a keen eye for detail, technical expertise in civil engineering, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

On-Site Inspections:

Conduct regular inspections of civil construction sites to ensure all work is performed in compliance with design specifications, local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Quality Control:

Monitor construction processes and materials to ensure they meet quality standards. Report any deviations from plans and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of inspection reports, test results, and other documentation related to construction activities. Prepare detailed reports on site conditions and project progress.

Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with project managers, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to address any site issues and ensure smooth project execution. Communicate any non-compliance or safety concerns immediately.

Safety Monitoring:

Ensure that safety protocols are being followed on-site, including proper use of equipment, adherence to safety guidelines, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.

Site Verification:

Verify that all work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and contract documents. Identify and report any discrepancies or deviations.

Test & Inspection Procedures:

Conduct tests on materials, soils, and other civil components as required by project specifications. Ensure testing is done properly and results are accurately recorded.

Problem Resolution:

Identify potential problems during the inspection process and recommend solutions to keep the project on track.

Required Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree

in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

3+ years of experience

in civil construction inspection or a related field. Strong knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and safety standards. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. Familiarity with inspection tools and techniques, as well as relevant software for reporting and documentation. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Civil Inspection or related field (e.g., NICET Certification). Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, or utilities. Knowledge of soil testing, concrete testing, and other materials testing methods.
