Job Description

Provide general inspection on all Contractor and Sub-Contractor work to assure a safe and workmanship operations. He also should assist the senior civil engineer in his duties.

Expectations & Responsibilities related to your role

1. SITE MANAGEMENT & DELIVERABLES - CONSTRUCTION STAGE

Assist in reviewing project contract documents and monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance.

Monitoring and/or evaluating civil works' tests as required.

Field checking installation and location of civil elements are being installed properly.

Monitoring all civil installations to assure all the civil installations adhere to the construction documents and local Code requirements as applicable.

Verifying the delivered materials.

Inspect construction site and record the execution of work; assist in monitor progress against agreed program.

Ensure all civil works are in accordance with the contract documents.

Conduct site inspections when required by senior civil engineer.

Inspect work in progress for conformance to specifications, approved drawings and method statements.

Coordinate with the contractor; liaise with other authorities.

Working with a variety of technicians.

Assist the senior site architect in reviewing shop drawings and review of "as-built" drawings along with all other technical submittals.

Full awareness of the approved quality plan specifically related to inspection and test plan, method statement for each item he is in charge of it.

To assist managing the mockups and samples at site and ensure it is in line with the look and feel and design intent.

2. TECHNICAL AND QA/QC

Responsible for quality controlling the executed works at site in coordination with site team.

Coordinates on time of assisting senior site architect reviews and comments on the materials and samples (when required).

Apply and implement quality assurance and quality control.

Assures the site staff are complying with local health, safety and risk regulations.

Assist the senior civil engineer in monitoring project quality performance and advise/highlight appropriate corrective actions to the senior site architect and to report infringements, problems and any unusual observations to immediate superior.

Testing procedure implementation.

Education and Training

Degree educated - Bachelor degree in civil engineering.

Eligible for GCC engineering membership.

Knowledge of local laws and regulations.

Knowledge in International and Regional Codes & Standards.

Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Experience

Previous experience of minimum 5 years as civil Inspector.

3 years minimum experience on a large-sized construction project.
