Job Description

=>1. Conducts tests to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications, agreed upon methodolgies with requisite quality and may include any of the following: Performs civil and structural tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregation, graduation, concrete slump, air entrainment, concrete compression, lines and grades surveys, bolt torques, and concrete coring.

=>2. Performs destructive and nondestructive tests on metals and other materials through magnaflex, dyepenetrant, radiographic, tension and compression, paint thickness, and resistivity.

=>3. Performs surveillance of underground piping to ensure tightness, bedding, and grade.

=>4. Inspects and monitors piling installation to ensure location and bearing.

=>5. Validates piping systems, including P&ID checks and hydraulic or other pressure tests.

=>6. Inspects electrical installations to ensure proper grounding, circuit integrity, and adherence to statutory and customer regulations.

=>7. Performs continuing inspection of painting and insulation to ensure thickness and coverage continuity.

=>8. Provides general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.

=>9. Verifies equipment alignment and balancing operations. Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures.

=>10. Participates in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports.

=>11. Establish or participate in establishing welder qualification tests.

=>12. Reviews Contractor Progress reports, make program / project cost - time evaluation / analysis, reports to Resident Engineer Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements:

=>A. Candidate should have a 3 Years Diploma/ Degree in Civil Engineering

=>B. Minimum 6+ years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects (Roads & Utilities)preferably in the UAE.

=>C. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction specifications and processes related to civil inspection.

=>D. Good written and oral communication skills in English.

Salary will be determined based on experience.
