The Civil Inspector will be responsible for overseeing and inspecting civil construction projects to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction techniques, and a keen eye for detail.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil engineering, along with proven experience in project inspection, particularly in the Abu Dhabi region.
Responsibilities:
  • Inspection and Compliance: Conduct on-site inspections to ensure that construction activities adhere to project specifications, approved drawings, and relevant codes and standards.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and assess the quality of workmanship, materials, and construction methods to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate inspection records, including daily reports, photos, and any deviations from project specifications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address and resolve any issues related to construction quality and compliance.
  • Abu Dhabi Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of local regulations, standards, and construction practices in Abu Dhabi to ensure projects meet regional requirements.
  • Safety Compliance: Monitor and enforce safety regulations on construction sites to ensure a secure working environment for all personnel.
  • Testing and Validation: Oversee material testing processes and coordinate with laboratories to validate the quality of construction materials used in the projects.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on construction progress, highlighting any deviations or potential risks to project timelines.
Requirements: Ideal candidate will have:
  • Technical Institute Diploma / bachelor\'s degree in relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civil, Structural etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality control processes.
  • Familiarity with Abu Dhabi\'s construction regulations and experience working on projects within the region.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy in inspection documentation.
