he Offshore Civil Foreman will oversee and coordinate the activities of civil construction projects on offshore platforms. This role involves ensuring that construction tasks are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Supervision:
• Oversee daily construction activities on offshore platforms.
• Ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with the Offshore Construction Manager and other team members to ensure project milestones are met.
• Team Management:
• Lead and manage a team of construction workers and subcontractors.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to crew members.
• Provide training and guidance to workers as needed.
• Safety Compliance:
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
• Ensure all team members use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Quality Control:
• Monitor work quality to ensure it meets project specifications and standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction work.
• Address and rectify any issues or defects promptly.
• Resource Management:
• Manage the allocation of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure efficient use of resources to minimize waste and reduce costs.
• Maintain inventory records and order supplies as needed.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of daily activities, progress, and issues.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Offshore Construction Manager.
• Document any changes to project plans or specifications.
• Coordination:
• Liaise with engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Attend project meetings and provide updates on construction progress.
• Resolve any conflicts or issues that arise during construction.
Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in civil engineering or construction management is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role on offshore projects.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as OSHA, CPR/First Aid, and specific offshore safety certifications are highly desirable.
