Job Title: Civil Foreman

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision

: Oversee and manage crews of workers on construction sites to ensure projects proceed smoothly.

Coordination

: Coordinate operations and allocate general and daily responsibilities according to priorities and plans.

Documentation

: Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including progress reports and schedules.

Health & Safety

: Ensure compliance with safety rules and guidelines, such as wearing protective gear.

Resource Management

: Manage the maintenance and usage of equipment and materials involved in piling and shoring activities.

Quality Control

: Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure piles and shoring structures are installed correctly and meet project specifications.

Communication

: Liaise with supervisors, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and answer questions.

Training

: Provide guidance, training, and support to the team to enhance productivity and skill development.

Problem-Solving

: Identify and resolve challenges or issues that may arise during piling and shoring operations.
Shoring and Piling Specific Responsibilities:

Shoring Works

: Implement shoring systems such as soldier pile and lagging, sheet piling, secant pile walls, contiguous pile walls, soil nailing and shotcrete, anchored shoring systems, and king post walls. Ensure stability and safety of excavation sites by properly installing and maintaining shoring structures.

Piling Works

: Perform piling techniques such as sheet piling, secant piling, bored piling, and driven piling. Ensure proper installation and alignment of piles to support the foundation of structures.
Required Skills:

Experience

: Proven experience as a Civil Foreman or in a relevant role, with a strong understanding of piling and shoring techniques, equipment, and materials.

Technical Proficiency

: Ability to interpret engineering plans and specifications.

Leadership

: Strong leadership and motivational skills to effectively manage and lead a team.

Attention to Detail

: High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Communication

: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Working Conditions:

Environment

: Work on construction sites, often in varying weather conditions.

Travel

: Occasional travel between sites may be required.
