Position: Site Engineer

Work Scope: Maintenance / Fit-out works

Location: Dubai, UAE

: As the site Engineer at Dakos Technical Services, your role will be crucial in establishing processes and systems that ensure our operations efficiency and effectiveness. The Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Fit-outs/MEP . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical, plumbing and mechanical engineering, along with proven experience in fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Responsibilities:

• Developing, reviewing, updating, modifying, and approving electrical/plumping/mechanical design plans and work schedules.
• Liaising with clients and other engineers to ensure projects are completed to specifications.
• Establishing relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, other professionals, and expanding networks.
• Must have knowledge & understanding of estimations, BOQ preparations.
• Participating in conferences, events, and networking and learning opportunities.
• Drawing up budgets, schedules, company regulations, and various other documents.
• Analyzing existing processes and scheduling meetings to discuss improvement initiatives.
• Conducting research, performing diagnostics, and troubleshooting equipment.
• Assisting with recruitment, training, and onboarding.
• Ensure designs comply with local and international standards and regulations, while maintaining a safe, positive work environment.
• Candidate should have experience in developing Drawings, Specifications, Time, Cost, Quality Control Plans, Technical Reports.
• Ensure all MEP systems are installed and functioning according to specifications and safety regulations.

Project Planning:

• Identification of the right work force to execute the project (Internal Team/External Suppliers).
• Communicate & get confirmation of project scope & price from Supplier (Get formal quote).
• Communicate & get confirmation of the work force availability & schedule.
• Coordinate the work with Client & Work Force (Internal Team/External Supplier).
• Complete all the document works required (E.g. Risk Assessment Form & Method Statement).
• Arrange all the necessary pre-requisites for the project (Permissions, Approvals).
• Ensure all the communications and agreements with Supplier & Client are formal.
• Main priority is safety & responsibility to motivate the workers to do the work in disciplined way.
• Ensure the adequate quality is maintained in every stage of the work.
• Ensure the site is clean and safe (Maintain proper housekeeping).
• Manage the work progress without scope creep & report the progress on a regular basis.
• Manage the project & work site as per the standards until sign-off from the Client.
• Manage multiple projects in parallel.

Procurement Management:

• Identifying right suppliers for materials with quality & necessary warranty.
• Process initiation & control of Procurement activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, (Master's degree preferred).
• DM/ DEWA approved Engineer is a must.
• Solid knowledge in the Civil Works, MEP, HVAC, Joinery & Project Coordination.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience working in the UAE as a MEP Engineer.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting MEP drawings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Experience with load schedules and testing procedures.
• Must have an eye for detail and should be technically sound to preempt possible issues in execution and find solutions.
• Must have knowledge about authorities standards of (DEWA, DCD, DDA, DM, Trakhees & DMCC etc).
• Must Have experience dealing with DM systems ( DEQsmart, BPS).
• Should be hands on with AutoCAD.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Must be DM/DEWA approved.
• Valid UAE driver's license (Required).
• Experienced in Site inspection, site supervision, monitoring site daily activities, responding to field requested changes.
• Practical experience with CAD software.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in the construction industry.
