Job Title: Civil Engineer
Job Summary:
The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure. This role involves ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Civil Engineer also ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Design:
1. Develop and prepare engineering designs, plans, and specifications for construction projects.
2. Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather necessary information for project planning.
3. Prepare detailed drawings, blueprints, and models using CAD software.
Project Management:
1. Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
2. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager or Senior Civil Engineer.
3. Manage project budgets and resources effectively to ensure timely and cost-efficient completion.
Construction Oversight:
1. Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
2. Conduct inspections and quality control checks at various stages of construction.
3. Address any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process.
Regulatory Compliance:
1. Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
2. Obtain necessary permits and approvals from regulatory authorities.
3. Prepare and submit required documentation and reports.
Technical Support:
1. Provide technical advice and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
2. Resolve technical issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
3. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed projects.
Sustainability and Environmental Considerations:
1. Incorporate sustainable design principles and practices into projects.
2. Evaluate environmental impact and implement measures to minimize negative effects.
3. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
1. Maintain accurate records of project activities, including design changes, approvals, and completed work.
2. Prepare and submit regular progress reports and final project documentation.
3. Ensure all project documentation is properly archived and accessible.
Professional Development:
1. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
2. Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance skills and knowledge.
3. Maintain professional certifications and licenses as required.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
3. Proven experience as a Civil Engineer in construction, infrastructure, or related projects.
4. Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
5. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction practices, and regulatory requirements.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
9. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Working Conditions:
- Civil Engineers typically work in both office and field environments.
- The role may involve exposure to various weather conditions, construction site hazards, and physical activity.
- Standard working hours apply, but occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
