PURPOSE OF THE JOB:As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the engineering phase of our oil and gas projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful design, planning, and execution of civil engineering activities, adhering to industry standards, project specifications, and client requirements. Your expertise will contribute to the overall success and safety of our projects.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engineering Design: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop detailed civil engineering designs, including structural analysis, foundation design, and site development plans.
Project Planning: Participate in project planning activities, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting for civil engineering tasks.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards related to civil engineering aspects, obtaining necessary permits and approvals as required.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance measures throughout the engineering phase to ensure designs meet project specifications and client expectations.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and hazards associated with civil engineering activities, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
Technical Support: Provide technical support to construction teams during the implementation phase, addressing any civil engineering-related issues that may arise.
Client Interaction: Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve technical queries, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Documentation: Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness within the project team, adhering to HSE policies and procedures at all times.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Masters degree preferred.
Proven experience 5+ YEARS in civil engineering within the oil and gas industry, preferably with EPC contractors.
Proficiency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, etc.
Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., API, ASCE, ACI, etc.) applicable to oil and gas projects.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet project deadlines.
Certification or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) is desirable.
Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required.
