Project Management :
• Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Software Operation :
• Utilize project management software and other tools to ensure projects are executed efficiently and meet all deadlines and budget constraints.
Drawing and Estimation :
• Interpret and analyze drawings and blueprints.
• Conduct accurate work estimations for materials, equipment, and labor required for projects.
Communication Skills :
• Maintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including managerial staff, clients, and contractors.
• Prepare and present project reports and updates.
Market Knowledge :
• Stay informed about the market and identify the best sources for materials required for projects.
• Evaluate and select suppliers and subcontractors based on quality and cost-effectiveness.
Contract Writing :
• Draft and review contracts for subcontractors, ensuring they include guarantees for timely delivery and quality standards.
MEPs Systems :
• Proficiently use of the Abu Dhabi Municipality system to submit documents and get approvals.
Project Handover and Snagging:
• Manage the handover process of completed projects to clients.
• Identify and correct any snags or issues that arise during the handover.
•Bank Procedures: •
• Work with FAB Bank and understand the procedures for solving issues and receiving payments.
• Ensure financial aspects of projects are managed smoothly.
General Duties :
• Consult and provide guidance to project stakeholders and managerial staff regarding engineering requirements for various designs, modifications, and structural repairs.
• Use design software and drawing tools to accurately render and communicate designs; plan and design related systems and structures such as transportation or hydraulics.
• Assess the strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel by testing materials and soil.
• Set design specifications by computing load and grade requirements, material stress factors, water flow rates, and similar parameters.
• Plan projects based on the analysis of relevant materials such as drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, survey reports, maps, and other geologic and topographical data.
• Draft and present reports on topics related to projects such as environmental impact statements and right-of-way descriptions.
• Estimate materials, equipment, and labor needed to determine project costs.
• Collaborate with architects and contractors to ensure projects progress properly.
• Collaborate with surveyors (or direct and participate in surveying) to establish installations or reference points, grades, elevations, and other factors that will affect construction.
• Monitor project progress and ensure design specifications, safety, and sanitation standards are met.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain structures as needed upon project completion.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
