Job Description

The Civil AutoCAD Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed drawings, plans, and layouts for civil engineering projects using AutoCAD software. This role requires an individual who can translate concepts and designs provided by engineers into accurate technical drawings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, excellent drafting skills, and attention to detail to ensure drawings meet project specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Drafting and Design :

• Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings, including site plans, layouts, sections, and elevations, using AutoCAD.
• Create and update technical drawings based on input from engineers, architects, and project managers.
• Ensure all drawings are prepared to specified scales, dimensions, and standard

Project Coordination :

• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Review rough sketches, notes, and other data to develop precise and detailed drawings.
• Make necessary revisions to drawings based on feedback and design changes.

Quality Assurance :

• Check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards and specifications.
• Ensure that all drawings are compliant with local building codes, regulations, and company standards.

Document Management :

• Maintain and organize all drawing files, project documents, and records in a systematic manner.
• Ensure timely filing, updating, and retrieval of all project-related documents.

Site Visits and Measurements :

• Conduct site visits to collect data, take measurements, and verify site conditions as needed.
• Incorporate site data into drawings accurately.

Support and Reporting :

• Assist engineers and project managers with preparing documentation for client presentations and project submissions.
• Prepare drawing sets for tender, construction, and as-built documentation.

Requirements :

Education :

• Diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.

Experience :

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Civil AutoCAD Draftsman in GCC.
• Experience in civil engineering projects such as roads, infrastructure, buildings, or landscaping.

Technical Skills :

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D drafting).
• Familiarity with civil drafting standards and procedures.
• Knowledge of other drafting tools (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D) is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.

Soft Skills :

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED5,000.00 per month
