Job Description

Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings, including site layouts, profiles, cross-sections, and construction details for roads, highways, drainage systems, and other infrastructure projects. Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar software, to create and modify drawings based on engineering designs and specifications. Interpret and apply engineering calculations, survey data, and design specifications to develop accurate drawings. Collaborate with civil engineers, surveyors, and other project team members to ensure design accuracy and coordination. Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and project managers. Maintain organized and up-to-date drawing files and documentation. Adhere to company drafting standards and project requirements. Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs and material schedules. Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes and regulations. Manage drawing revisions and maintain accurate records of changes. Potentially perform site visits to gather information and verify existing conditions.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree or technical diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field. Proven experience as a Civil Draftsman, preferably with a focus on roads and infrastructure projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (or similar software) is essential. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, drafting standards, and construction practices. Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of relevant codes and regulations. Experience with survey data and GIS information is a plus. Experience with quantity take-offs is a plus.
