Responsibilities:WOOD Dubai is looking to fill a Civil/Structural Discipline Manager to contribute to the delivery of Engineering excellence through
Managing and leading teams.
Providing discipline expertise to the business including Technical Authority responsibility.
Executing assigned scopes of work.
Delivering against contract Key Performance Indicators (KPI\'s) and business objectives.
General:
Reports to the Engineering Manager
Manage the Civil and Structural engineering and design team
Single-point responsibility for all Civil and Structural engineering deliverables and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the customers policies and procedures
Ensure that the overall project is delivered to meet the asset operational needs
Provide direction and guidance on all technical queries relating to Civil and Structural engineering
Participate in all project safety and design reviews as necessary
Ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule
Liaise with the customers Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion
Promote safe behaviour at all times
People:
In conjunction with the Engineering Manager, manages succession planning for direct reports.
Provides coaching and mentoring for direct reports.
Actively supports recruitment, selection, transfers and promotion of resources to meet succession and business plans.
Support the development and retention of motivated and competent people.
Ensures competence of deputies.
Manages performance of direct reports.
Process Ownership:
Continuous promotion of, and adherence to, the discipline specific procedures and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
Support the development and delivery of the technical assurance framework.
Monitor compliance with competence standards.
Participate in incident investigations as required.
Set performance expectations for direct reports.

Actively maintaining own competence and continuous development.
Provide discipline support to the business.
Ensuring learning opportunities are captured and realised.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory framework and legislation.

Qualifications:Qualifications:General:
Engineering Degree qualification
Minimum of 20 years experience in the oil and gas industries
Previous onshore brownfield experience
Previous experience operating at Lead Civil/Structural Engineer level
Previous Middle East experience is preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
MSc, MEng or equivalent professional qualification or BSc, BEng or equivalent with extensive relevant experience.
Minimum Experience:
Demonstrable balance of industrial and management experience at relevant level and position.

Structural Analysis and Design of Pipe Rack, Shelter, Pipe Support, Platform etc. and its foundation
Analysis and Design of Shallow Foundations including Pile Foundation
Analysis and Design of Equipment Foundations
Vibration Analysis
Design of Tank Foundations
Design of RCC Structures and Building
Brown Field Design Engineering
Materials and Testing
Concrete DT and NDT
Knowledge of Design of Road, All type of Drain, Culvert, Trench Design
Schedule of Activity, Progress and Planning
