Responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from start to finish in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Collaborate with the Client Representative and Project Manager to develop and implement project construction strategies, policies, and procedures.
Ensure adherence to local and international construction regulations, safety standards, and ethical practices.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards across all construction activities.
Coordinate and supervise site workers and subcontractors, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
Monitor project progress, addressing deviations or challenges and implementing mitigation strategies as needed. Address any unexpected issues, disputes or delays promptly
Review project plans, designs, blueprints and etc., ensuring feasibility and adherence to regulations
Allocate tasks, manage resources, and optimize workflow to ensure effective and productive project execution, including personnel, materials, equipment, tools, and etc., based on project requirements and scheduling constraints
Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options while maintaining quality and project integrity
Ensure that client expectations align with project progress and quality standards
Identify potential risks and challenges in the construction process and develop strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning to address and minimize the impact of identified risks.
Maintain open lines of communication with project teams and external stakeholders to address construction-related issues and changes
Address construction-related challenges promptly, making informed decisions and providing creative solutions to keep projects on schedule and within specifications
Proactively identify and address conflicts or issues within the project team, subcontractors, or stakeholders
Implement effective conflict resolution strategies to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
KRA: Administrative Function:
Maintain organized records of construction progress, quality inspections, change orders, and project documentation
Provide insights into project performance, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Prepare regular progress reports on construction activities for project updates and decision-making
Review the work progress on daily basis, construction plans and detailed procedures
Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
Review terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences * Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
Coordinate the handover of as built documentation

Qualifications and Experience:
10 years site experience in high rise building construction, residential/luxury villas or hotels
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering
Knowledge of construction methods and technologies and an ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts
Knowledge of building-code requirements and scheduling methods
Knowledge of construction worksite safety practices
Familiarity with construction management software and tools
