Job Summary: As a Chinese Chef at our villa residence, you will be responsible for creating authentic Chinese cuisine of the highest quality. You will lead our culinary team in preparing and presenting traditional Chinese dishes that exceed the expectations of our discerning residents and guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Chinese cuisine and a creative flair for culinary innovation. Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and execute a diverse menu of traditional Chinese dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts.
Ensure that all food preparation and cooking techniques adhere to authentic Chinese culinary practices and standards.
Lead and supervise kitchen staff in the preparation and cooking of Chinese dishes, providing guidance and training as needed.
Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for menu items.
Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring that all dishes meet our villa\'s high standards for taste, appearance, and consistency.
Collaborate with the villa\'s management team to develop seasonal menus and special culinary events featuring Chinese cuisine.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
Stay updated on current food trends and innovations in Chinese cuisine, incorporating new ideas into menu development.
Manage food costs and kitchen expenses, implementing cost-saving measures where possible.
Provide exceptional customer service to residents and guests, addressing any special dietary requests or preferences with professionalism and courtesy.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chinese Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hospitality establishment.
Extensive knowledge of Chinese culinary techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
Creativity and innovation in menu development, with a passion for showcasing traditional Chinese cuisine in new and exciting ways.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure under pressure.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Valid food handler\'s certificate or equivalent food safety training.
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is highly desirable.
