Role Description:

We are looking for a strategic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing scalable web platforms, mobile applications, and leading tech teams. Experience in building and scaling a marketplace platform is highly desirable. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire technology stack, driving technical strategy, and collaborating closely with the executive team to bring our vision to life.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy:

Provide leadership and mentorship to the engineering team to deliver innovative, high-quality products. Spearhead the technology vision and ensure alignment with business goals and market demands.

Platform & Application Development:

Oversee the architecture, design, and development of scalable and secure web platforms and mobile applications that deliver a seamless user experience.

Marketplace Experience:

Leverage in-depth knowledge and experience to develop, launch, and scale online marketplaces, ensuring seamless integration of features such as payment gateways, user profiles, transactions, and ratings.

Tech Stack Management:

Take ownership of the full technology stack, making informed decisions on architecture, third-party tools, APIs, and integrations.

Technology Evaluation:

Identify and evaluate cutting-edge technologies, assessing their potential for strategic advantage and business impact.

Scaling & Optimization:

Ensure the technology infrastructure can scale effectively to support a growing user base while maintaining performance, security, and reliability.

Required skills and qualifications:

Proven CTO or senior engineering leadership experience, ideally in a fast-growing startup or tech-driven company. Strong experience developing web platforms, mobile applications, and consumer-facing products. Expertise in marketplace or e-commerce platform development. Hands-on experience with modern web technologies and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, React, Angular, Ruby on Rails). Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, databases, and APIs. Exceptional leadership and team-building skills. Ability to translate business goals into scalable technical solutions. Excellent communication and presentation skills. International market and multi-currency/multi-language experience. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices.
