Develop a comprehensive, inclusive Corporate vision and growth strategy by collaborating with the Group CEO and ensure the successful formulation, communication and execution of the business' strategy across all entities.
Oversee the development of broad functional strategy (long and short term) across the departments of the company in line with the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of the Group.
Lead the development, planning and execution of investment strategies to be pursued by the Group, across existing or new businesses thereby enhancing financial performance.
Review and recommend the overall policies and procedures of Strategy, Investment, Innovation units and Executive Office and ensure that they are in line with the companys policies and procedures.
Deal with sensitive and confidential information related to work with discretion to protect the interests of the company.
Strategy Unit
Provide guidelines for the overall corporate strategy formulation to ensure alignment between the company and subsidiaries.
Translate and align the company strategy into activities & initiatives and develop a clear roadmap in order to achieve the company strategic objectives.
Define types of partnerships and desired outcomes for each partner selection, management, and termination framework for the company and its subsidiaries.
Drive leadership in the planning, design, and implementation of innovative business solutions by defining vision, strategies, and tactics to address market shifts in order to optimize the group for competitive advantage.
Lead the development and continuous strategic planning process strategy and working closely with the GCEO and leaders across the organization and translating them into actionable and tangible plans.
Recommend top-down targets for subsidiaries on the aspired strategic direction including high level qualitative and quantitative targets.
Recommend subsidiaries business plans (vision, mission, strategic objectives, and imperatives) in line with top-down targets as well as forecasts on revenues and costs.
Recommend targets of performance KPIs for the subsidiaries.
Investment
Translate the approved investment strategy (incl. revisions) into M&A targets.
Direct, review and approve financial investments in order to maximize the ROI from the organization's real estate assets.
Direct and oversee the result of market research studies, e.g. identifying growth opportunities for the company business including financial services, mergers and acquisition, partnership opportunities, digital transformation, new products and services and preparing Board proposals.
Innovation
Oversee the implementation of innovation strategies are integrated with the company and subsidiaries plans.
Oversee the technology and product development initiatives are successfully executed.
Work closely with the GCEO to ensure that an ambitious and innovative strategy focusing on digital ventures is effectively developed, implemented, and then embedded across the organization to keep the company at the cutting edge of strategic and systems thinking.
Executive Office
Lead the Executive Offices operations in the area's strategy & business planning, project & corporate performance management, financial & investment planning and advisory support in line with Group's vision.
Ensure effective communication of strategies, annual plans and initiatives of the company & subsidiaries and BOD in line with the consolidated Group Strategic Communication strategy.
Lead and control the reporting processes, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations with Board of Directors expectations.
Budgetary Control & Plans
Oversee and approve the preparation and consolidation of the overall budgets for department.
Monitor financial performance versus the budget for approval by the Board so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/ revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.
Synergies with the Stakeholders
Liaise with all the stakeholders to understand business objectives and priorities and to recommend suitable business improvement initiatives.
Develop and maintain strong working relationship with investors and managing the companys capital structure.
Talent Management
Set comprehensive goals for performance & growth ensuring each Business Unit is capable of delivering the strategic intent.
Promote a high standard of employee motivation through regular employee communication, training and equipping with the best tools to achieve the maximum results.
Identify potential talent pool of successors and comply with succession planning framework and initiatives.
Demonstrate a commitment to meeting Emiratization Target.
Report
Assist the GCEO in providing periodic status updates to the Board on strategic issues related to business of the company in order to keep them updated and take approvals on key decisions.
Tracking trends and opportunities in the market such as current trends, developments and actions of relevant players (corporate & governmental), outlining potential ventures/investment opportunities.
Other Tasks
Perform any other responsibilities relating to this job request or work task as allocated by the Line Manager.
