Position Overview We are seeking an Associate/Director to join our CPS team in Abu Dhabi to support the growth and evolution of our Middle East platform. Acting as Chief of Staff, the incumbent will play an integral role in supporting the Head of Institutional Client Group Sales, Middle East on day-to-day business management and coordinating broader initiatives. In conjunction the individual will also focus on supporting the capital raise and client servicing for Middle East based investors.
As a representative of the Head of Institutional Client Group Sales, Middle East, the individual must have exceptional EQ as they will interact with a variety of constituents, manage an array of priorities daily and must be able to respond efficiently and accurately on time sensitive deliverables. The Associate/Director will require knowledge of a multi-faceted business, exceptional relationship management, communication and influencing skills across all levels, and a strong focus on execution. The role includes involvement in the strategic priorities for the firm, the Middle East region and is expected to be a transformational learning opportunity for a high-potential candidate.
The ideal candidate is skilled at connecting the dots, highly organized and detailed orientated, and operates with the highest degree of integrity and judgment.
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as a versatile and trusted "right-hand" and advisor to the Head of Institutional Client Group Sales, Middle East.
Client Support and Interaction - cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Clients and prospects. This includes, planning and executing meetings with key deliverables agreed and outlined.
Serve as the conduit between CPS product teams and investors to ensure investor queries on investments, performance, finance, tax etc. are addressed in a timely and thoughtful manner.
Play lead role in planning an organizing various marketing outreach activities including roadshows, due diligence sessions, and certain other events.
Apollo Team - collaborate with cross functional teams globally across the Firm, including product management, distribution, and marketing to align local initiatives with broader business objectives. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide updates, share insights, and address challenges.
Build and maintain strong relationships across the firm to help drive Middle East's agenda and ensure the right flow of internal discussions/communications.
Support Head of Institutional Client Group Sales, Middle East on all aspects of organic growth, including awareness of market trends and competitor activities, conceiving, and developing new business ideas, driving buy-in and budget support discussions with senior management as well as executing the business strategy.
Generate and analyze sales reports, including pipeline activity, revenue forecasts and performance metrics to track progress towards targets and identify areas for improvement and support.
Assist in day-to-day operations for the Middle East team, including business planning and analysis, project management, business administration, and technology solutions.
Strong connectivity and coordination as we build Middle East capabilities and strategies with the CEO Chief of Staff and COO for Co-Presidents, broader CPS, and ACS.
Guiding the Head of Institutional Client Group Sales, Middle East, with how to improve team efficiency.
Streamline product-specific sales materials (i.e. product update books, talking points).
Working on special projects and initiatives with oversight and support.
Coordinate and ensure the Middle East team and office are running seamlessly.
Critical understanding of the operating model of the Middle East.
Ensure close coordination with the Head of ICG, Middle East, and the broader Middle East team
Qualifications & Experience
4-7 years of relevant experience at an investment bank, consulting firm, asset manager, or in a corporate strategy role, ideally with a focus on financial institutions or asset management.
Strong presentation and communication abilities, detail orientation and an exceptional technical skillset.
Proven project management experience and strong decision-making skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rigorous work environment; demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines.
Strong initiative and ownership of responsibilities - must demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude toward given tasks
Self-starter with a willingness to execute projects on a small, nimble team.
Exemplary interpersonal skills necessary to handle sensitive information and confidential situations.
Team-oriented and collaborative attitude is a must.
Detail orientated with high level of accuracy in data management and reporting.
Knowledge of financial markets in particular the private markets sector, investment products, and industry regulations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel) and CRM software.
