Job Summary:

The Chief Information Security Officer will be the executive responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that protects our digital assets, trading systems, and customer financial data. In the rapidly evolving fintech landscape, you will ensure that our security practices meet stringent regulatory standards and support the company's innovative financial products and services. You will lead a dedicated cybersecurity team, work closely with other senior leaders, and serve as a key advisor on all matters related to information security and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy & Leadership:

Develop and execute a fintech-specific cybersecurity strategy aligned with overall business objectives. Lead, mentor, and expand a cybersecurity team covering risk management, incident response, security operations, and compliance. Champion a security-first culture throughout the organization, ensuring that all employees understand and adhere to security best practices.
2. Risk Management & Regulatory Compliance:

Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability audits on trading platforms, payment systems, and digital infrastructures. Ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations and cybersecurity standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, Bank Negara Malaysia guidelines). Collaborate with legal, compliance, and audit teams to maintain robust security controls and prepare for external regulatory reviews.
3. Cybersecurity Operations:

Oversee and coordinate the activities of the Security Operations Center (SOC) to detect, analyze, and respond to cyber threats and security incidents. Implement and manage advanced threat intelligence, monitoring, and incident response tools tailored to the fintech environment. Ensure continuous monitoring and improvement of network, application, and endpoint security solutions.
4. Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with other senior executives (e.g., CIO, CTO, CFO) to integrate security into technology initiatives and digital transformation projects. Report regularly to the CEO, Board, and key stakeholders on security posture, risk assessments, and incident metrics. Act as the primary cyber security spokesperson for the organization when engaging with regulatory bodies, partners, and customers.
5. Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting the fintech industry. Drive the adoption of innovative security solutions (e.g., cloud security, AI-based threat detection, advanced encryption) to enhance our security posture. Evaluate and manage investments in security technologies to ensure they deliver optimal return and protection.

Qualifications:

1. Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master's in Cybersecurity) preferred.
2. Experience:

10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity roles, with a proven track record in senior leadership positions, ideally within the fintech or financial services industry.
3. Certifications:

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
4. Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of fintech regulatory requirements and cybersecurity frameworks. Demonstrated experience in risk management, incident response, and security operations. Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills with the ability to translate technical security issues into business language. Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership. Experienced in Forex is a bonus point
